CELEBRATING 130 YEARS OF MINISTRY
Rooted In The Past - Focused On The Future

Chapmansboro, TN

Join us as we celebrate the rich heritage the Lord has given us and the wonderful blessing of living the "country life". Farmers built America, and built most of our local churches, and this is a day to honor them and the farming lifestyle.
In keeping with the "farm" theme, here are just some of the things we will enjoy on this very special Sunday:
A SPECIAL CHURCH SERVICE
- We will not have Sunday school this Sunday, but rather an extended service beginning at 10:30 AM.
- A professional singing group will begin our service with about 30 minutes of great bluegrass/gospel music to match the theme of the day.
- "Farm clothes" would be fine for this day! Dress casually as this will definitely be a "no tie zone".
SPECIAL AFTER CHURCH ACTIVITIES
- The church will provide an old time fried chicken dinner.
- More music outside from our visiting singers.
- A farm museum.....Don't miss this!! We will have an indoor "museum" displaying farm items from the past and an outdoor display of antique farm implements as well. Older folks will enjoy remembering, and the kids and grandkids will be amazed. (If you have something "special" that you might enjoy sharing in our museum, please give us a call!)
- A free family portrait will be taken of each family in our antique horse buggy.
- We will have games of all kinds during lunch, including sack races and face painting for the kids. Our washer toss game will compete John Deere green against Kubota orange and Ford blue against Farmall red!!
- A petting zoo for the kids.......ever pet a baby goat?!
- Mule drawn wagon rides - Take a ride into the past!
SPECIAL CONTESTS
- Pie baking contest - The day wouldn't be complete without it! Ribbons will be presented for first, second, and third place and then the entries will be "tested" after lunch!
- Tractor contest - Do you think you have the prettiest tractor in Cheatham/Robertson County? How about the ugliest? Or maybe you think you can have the oldest tractor on display that day. Load it up (you can leave it on the trailer at church), bring it with you that morning for service. After church we will award a Tractor Supply gift card for $ 25.00 to the winner in each of those categories!!
EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
SEE YOU AT 10:30 ON OCTOBER 3RD, 2010
